Mos Def Joins Cast of ‘Dexter’

Rapper-turned actor Mos Def (né Dante Terrell Smith) will be joining the cast of Showtime’s hit series Dexter in a recurring role. Mos Def is set to play an ex-con turned religious believer. However, his past catches up with him and he’s unable to escape violence . The deal to join the show was recently finalized and announced today.

Dexter is an American television drama series that centers on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a bloodstain pattern analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department who moonlights as a serial killer.
