Emmy Nominations 2011: Andre Braugher, Idris Elba, Laurence Fishburne, and Taraji P Henson are nominated!

Hooray! Here is a small list of the black nominees for the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The event will be hosted by Jane Lynch (‘Glee’), and will take place on September 18. Although most of the shows and actors nominated are overwhelmingly white, a few of our favorite black actors snagged Emmy nominations in some of the offbeat categories. Idris Elba and Laurence Fishburne go head to head in the Outstanding Actor In A Movie or Miniseries category. Taraji P Henson is shown some love for her Lifetime movie. And Andre Braugher is recognized for his role in TNT drama Men Of A Certain Age (which is rumored to be cancelled this weekend). Nominations were also given to Loretta Devine and Alfre Woodard for guest roles.
