Jurnee Smollett (‘Eve’s Bayou,’ ‘Friday Night Lights’) is rumored to star in a new film about former Supreme group member Florence Ballard.

HuffPost pointed to an entry on IMDB that reveals a project titled Blondie: The FLorence Ballard Story, which is based on the Motown singer that was dropped from the infamous singing group The Supremes . Smollett is listed as Florence, and Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s Sister) is listed as Diana Ross in the film.

Singer Faith Evans was enlisted to play the part, but we’re guessing things didn’t work out as they hoped. Spirit of Life Films is producing the project.
