Chris Tucker May Join ‘The Silver Linings Playbook,’ ‘Neighborhood Watch’

Chris Tucker may soon be returning to a theater near you in a few unexpected and high-profile roles.

It’s being reported that the actor is in talks for a role in the upcoming Weinstein Co. film The Silver Linings Playbook.

Playbook, which is based off of a novel by Matthew Quick, stars Bradley Cooper as a high school teacher that suffers a mental breakdown, and after four years is released from a mental institution and looking to reconcile with his wife. No details have emerged about Tucker’s role in the film.

Tucker is also potentially joining “Neighborhood Watch,” a suburban comedy that has a star trio of Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill.

Tuckers film credits include Friday, The Fifth Element, Money Talks, Jackie Brown, and the Rush Hour franchise.
