Lance Gross, Vanessa Williams, and Robbie Jones have joined the cast of  Tyler Perry‘s film The Marriage Counselor. BlackFilm confirmed the casting news today.

Williams announced her casting via social media. “Headed to Hotlanta to meet mogul Tyler Perry for the 1st time & get fitted for a role in his new film. I’m sure fashion will be fab!,” tweeted Williams.

The Marriage Counselor, the Lionsgate film Perry will next direct, is based on his original stage play. Shooting began yesterday, October 26 in Atlanta. Gross will play Brice, and Jones will play Harley in the film. However, no role details have been released for any of the new cast members.

Jones acting credits include “Hurricane Season,” “Hellcats,” “One Tree Hill.” Gross’ credits include Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne,” “Our family wedding,” and he can be seen next in “The Next Fall.” Williams can currently be seen on the ABC’s “Desperate Housewives.”
