Rutina Wesley Set for Free Reading of Sam Shepard’s ‘Fool for Love’ in Boston
Actress Rutina Wesley is set to participate in the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company’s American Voices script-in-hand series next month. Wesley, who can currently be seen in the off-Broadway production of “The Submission,” will present a free reading of Sam Shepard‘s “Fool for Love” on Nov. 6 at 7 PM at the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.
Fool For Love, press notes state, “focuses on two lovers, May and Eddie, who meet in a seedy motel in the Mojave Desert and wrestle with the demons of their relationship.” It’s later revealed that the couple are actually siblings involved in an incestuous relationship.
The Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts is located at 527 Tremont Street in Boston’s South End. A small cocktail reception will follow. Visit commshakes.org for tickets.
