It’s been a tough year for black women in television. Seems like Charlie’s Angels aren’t the only ones to have their wings clipped this season. Drama series Memphis Beat, which starred Alfre Woodard, has also been cancelled.

“The network thanks everyone involved in the production of Memphis Beat for their work on the series, including the great cast and crew. TNT wishes everyone the best,” a TNT spokesperson said.

Beat joins HawthoRNe, State of Georgia, Charlies’ Angels, and The Playboy Club (amongst others) to be cancelled with a black woman in a leading role. #Justsayin
