Octavia Spencer, Laurence Fishburne, Viola Davis, and more Nominated for SAG Awards

The Screen Actors Guild announced the nominees for the 2012 Annual SAG awards Wednesday morning.

Viola Davis has been nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her character, Aibileen Clark in “The Help.” Co-star Octavia Spencer is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her character Minny Jackson in the same film. Maya Rudolph has been nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for her character, Lillian in the hit comedy Bridesmaids. Laurence Fishburne earned a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries for his role as Thurgood Marshall in “Thurgood.”

Ensemble nominations went to some well deserving actors. Michael Kenneth Williams and Giancarlo Esposito earned a Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series nominations for their role in “Boardwalk Empire” and “Breaking Bad,” respectively. Lauren Velez and Billy Brown were also nominated in the same category for their roles in “Dexter.” Tracy Morgan,Amber Riley, and Craig Robinson earned noms for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for “30 Rock,” “Glee,” and “The Office.”

The 18th annual SAG Awards will air Sunday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and TNT.
