‘Safe House’ Star Denzel Washington discusses new films, struggles of blacks in Hollywood (Video)

Veteran actor Denzel Washington sat down with The Grio to discuss his upcoming film Safe House. Washington plays a former FBI agent gone rogue in the new action flick opening next week (Feb. 10).

Washington, who directed and starred in the all-black cast of The Great Debaters said that “It’s almost impossible to get $100 million to make a movie about a black family in the inner city, New York.” The actor added “It’s the most difficult for African-American women to get films made.” Watch the video below.
