Cuba Gooding Jr. stars in 'Firelight'

Cuba Gooding Jr.  stars in a gripping original drama about how one person can make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Directed by Darnell Martin, Firelight (previously Crew Six) follows Dwayne Johnson (Gooding) – a counselor at a women’s correctional center – becomes a beacon of hope to incarcerated young women, as he helps them reclaim their self-respect through selfless service to others. By encouraging a group of women to join an elite team that fights forest fires and assists civilian victims of natural disasters, he leads them to an inner strength – and a future – they thought was lost.

The film stars Gooding, Q’orianka Kilcher (who played Pocahontas in Terrence Malick’s The New World), DeWanda Wise (Precious: Based on the Novel by Sapphire) and Rebecca Rivera (making her film debut).

Firelight will premiere on Sunday, April 22 at 9/8c on ABC.
