American Black Film Festival Announces 2012 Star Project Finalists

NBC Universal's Star ProjectAmerican Black Film Festival has announced the top six finalists for their annual acting contest. Justin Chu Cary, Robert Hunter, Ozioma Akagha,Kenny Cooper, Stephanie La Capra, and Sherial McKinney are all in the running to win the 2012 Star Project.

The Star Project is an annual acting competition for people of color sponsored by NBC Universal. Two winners will be given the chance to win an all-expense paid trip to the 2012 American Black Film Festival in Miami. The winners will also get the opportunity to audition for a walk-on role on “Days of our Lives.” Previous winners include Middle of Nowhere‘s Emayatzy Corinealdi and 12 Steps to Recovery‘s Stephen Hill.
