Spike Lee has released the first teaser trailer for his new controversial film Red Hook Summer. The film, directed by Lee, follows a young boy from Atlanta named Flik Royale (Jules Brown). The preteen is sent up north to spend the summer with his religious grandfather (Clarke Peters) in the gritty Red Hook section of Brooklyn.

The film has an amazing cast of black actors, including  De’Adre Aziza, Nate Parker, Tony Lysaith, Colman Domingo, and Daniel Breaker. Watch the new joint teaser below.

Red Hook Summer will hit select theaters on August 10.
