Lamman Rucker Dropped from NBC’s ‘Save Me’

Lamman Rucker in 'Save Me'

Sad news out of Hollywood today. You know that awkward moment when the black guy gets replaced after a television pilot gets picked up. Ugh! Well, Lamman Rucker is the latest black actor to get his walking papers from a developing television show. His character in the Anne Heche-led NBC comedy pilot Save Me will be recast.

The pilot, assembled by casting director Dona Rosenstein, was officially picked up to series a few weeks ago. However, there were changes that needed to be made and the sole black actor got the short end of the deal. Another example why black people shouldn’t get excited about tv castings until the show actually airs.
