Former child star Tyler James Williams (‘Everybody Hates Chris’) is set to return to the small screen this fall. The actor will star as a series regular in the newly picked up NBC comedy series Go On, reports Deadline.

The show will follow former Friends star Matthew Perry as a sportscaster trying to move on from a loss when he joins a mandatory support group. Williams will play a member of the support group, who joins after his brother goes into a coma after a tragic skiing accident.

The actor also starred as Martin Lawrence‘s son in Lawrence’s new pilot project, which leads us to believe that role will be recasted.

Williams’ tv credits include “True Jackson VP,” “The Cleaner,” and “House.” He can be seen next in Disney’s telepic Let It Shine, and We The Peeples.
