Zoe Saldana joins gory thriller ‘Machette Kills’

Zoe Saldana has joined the cast of Robert Rodriguez‘s Machette Kills, the follow-up to the gory 2010 Latino action flick Machette.

Danny Trejo, who plays the title role of Machette Cortez, revealed that Saldana had joined the cast in a recent interview with Moviehole. “The sequel to Machete, Machete Kills is going to be a lot more over-the-top than Machete,” Trejo said. “We’ve got Sofia Vergara, who is a star in her own right, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, and Zoe Saldana – and guess what? I get to kiss all of ‘em.”

While we don’t know any specifics on what role Saldana will play in the film, this is definitely a good look for her. The first Machette was a thrill ride, and we’re sure Saldana will bring the action.

Saldana can be seen next alongside Bradley Cooper in ‘The Words.’
