New Trailer, Photos for Hallmark’s ‘Hannah’s Law’ featuring Danny Glover and Kimberly Elise
A new trailer and set photos from the telepic Hannah’s Law have finally been released. We told you about this interesting project last year before the whole black western trend blew up. Award-winning actors Danny Glover and Kimberly Elise appear as gun-toting vigilantes fighting a town of corrupt officials during the mid-19th century. The film, directed by Rachel Talalay, will make it’s world premiere Saturday, June 9 at 8/7c on Hallmark.
“A frontier town is fueled by crime and corruption until a strong-willed heroine and her friends, including legendary lawman Wyatt Earp, gunfighter Doc Holliday, and the first female, African-American mail carrier Mary Fields, aka ‘Stagecoach Mary,’ take a stand for justice.”
The film synopsis gives us some insight into Elise’s character. “Hannah heads to the saloon hotel where she runs into her old friend, Stagecoach Mary (Elise), who happens to be in town. Mary encourages Hannah to go on the date with Wyatt, who is a good man. But Hannah is distracted by Doc Holliday, a bad boy who Hannah clearly has an interest in. Mary encourages her to forget Doc and give Wyatt a chance. Hannah promises to think about it before heading up to her hotel room, where she solemnly crosses out Turk’s ―Wanted‖ poster hanging in her room next to nine others—all the men in McMurphy’s gang who killed her family. Later, at the Marshal’s office, Hannah approaches Wyatt and asks if the dinner offer is still open. Wyatt is delighted to take her out that night.”
Glover’s role in the film is also revealed in the film’s synopsis, which reads: “Doc gives McMurphy information on Hannah, including that she was raised by a man named Isom Dart (Glover), a former bounty hunter who is now wanted for murder. He promises to find Isom and bring him to Dodge, hoping to corner Hannah, who will most likely come looking for Isom.”
The film also stars Sara Canning, Billy Zane, and Ryan Kennedy.
