Dayo Okeniyi lands new roles after ‘Hunger Games’ debut

Fresh off the success (and controversy) of his film debut in the record-breaking action flick The Hunger Games, Nigerian thespian Dayo Okeni has landed two roles in some very promising new films.

Okeniyi has been added to crime pic Runnner Runner, and the indie teen drama The Spectacular Now.

In Runner Runer, Okeniyi joins a cast that include Anthony Mackie and Justin Timberlake. The film centers on a college student (Timberlake) seeking revenge after he is swindled out of his tuition money while playing an online poker game. Okeniyi will play an Ivy League Ph.D student.

In the indie feature Spectacular Now, the actor will appear alongside Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller in a story that revolves around high school students living in the moment. Details on his role have not yet been revealed.
