Donald Faison in talks to join ‘Kick-Ass 2′
Donald Faison, best known for his breakout role in 1995′s Clueless, is reportedly in serious talks to join Universal’s Kick-Ass: Balls to the Walls.
The gory and violent comic book adaptation will see returning cast members Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Nicolas Cage, and possibly Omari Hardwick resume their roles as powerless superheroes gone wild in the upcoming sequel.
Faison will play the Dr. Gravity, a baseball bat-wielding sidekick to Johnson’s Kick-Ass lead character. According to Movieweb, “Dr. Gravity claims to be a physics professor who invented the ‘Gravity Pole,’ a device which can make something 20 times its actual weight. ” However, that’s not really the case. Turns out he is a college student majoring in English and the “Gravity Pole” is actually just a baseball bat covered in tinfoil.
Faison’s most recent big screen role was 2010′s Skyline. He is currently starring on the second season of TVLand’s The Exes.
Kick-Ass 2 begins production next month in London and is expected to be released sometime next year.
