‘Sparkle’: What moviegoers are saying

Sparkle 2012Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil‘s remake of the 1976 film Sparkle is receiving mixed, but mostly positive, reviews from moviegoers on twitter.

Sparkle marks the final film performance of the late Whitney Houston and the first for former American Idol finalist Jordin Sparks, who plays the titular character.

The film earned an impressive A cinema score with moviegoers and raked in $4.5 million on Friday.
