‘The We and the I’ Trailer: Michael Brodie, Jonathan Worrell Make Their Big Screen Debut

'The We and The I' Movie Poster The We and the I takes a realistic look at Bronx high school kids as they take the bus home on the last day of school before summer recess.

Directed by The Green Hornet‘s Michael Gondry, the drama focuses on how different teenagers are in groups and large numbers, and how they become more interesting and complex when they are in smaller groups. The official synopsis reads:

It is the end of the school year. Students of a high school in the Bronx climb in the same bus for their last journey together before the summer. The Group of teenagers noisy and exuberant, with its hazings, its victims, its lovers… evolves and transforms that the bus was empty. Relations became more intimate and reveal facets of their personality…

The film stars newcomers Michael Brodie, Jonathan Scott Worrell, Teresa Lynn and Alex Barrios.

The We and the I hits theaters in France and Sweden on Sept. 12. No US release date has been announced.
