Production on Lee Daniels‘ The Butler is winding down in New Orleans and we have the first close up of Oscar winner Forest Whitaker in uniform. Earlier this year, The Weinstein Co. released an official image of Whitaker’s silhouette in what appeared to be the oval office.

Whitaker will play Eugene Allen, a black man who escaped the racist south to become a butler in the white house.

The Butler features an all-star cast that includes, among others, Oprah Winfrey, Cuba Gooding Jr., David Oyelowo, Jesse Williams, Mariah Carey, Colman Domingo, Aml Ameen, and Nelsan Ellis.

The Butler will be released in 2013.
