Oscar nominee Viola Davis is featured in a new behind the scenes featurette for her new film, Beautiful Creatures, a supernatural coming of age teen drama based on the New York Times Bestselling novel.

Davis plays Amma, a no-nonsense “seer” who serves as a mystical housekeeper of the lead male character. Amma comes from a family of tarot card readers at least six generations long. Watch the video below.

Beautiful Creatures opens in theaters on Feb. 13, 2013.
