'Orange Is the New Black' Casts Lorraine Toussaint, Promotes Danielle BrooksBig things are happening for the second season of Netflix’s original series “Orange Is the New Black,” including the addition of another black cast member and the promotion of an existing one.

The comedic drama follows a group of eccentric and outspoken female inmates in a federal penitentiary.

Lorraine Toussaint (“Any Day Now,” “The Fosters”) has joined the cast in a prominent recurring role. She will play Vee, a powerful drug dealer who used children to do her dirty work.

Danielle Brooks, the actress who plays Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson in the first season, has been promoted to series regular for the show’s second season.

Unfortunately, fans of the show will have to wait until 2014 for more episodes.
