Nia Long Joins WEtv’s Legal Drama ‘The Divide’

The formerly untitled Richard LaGravenese/Tony Goldwyn pilot has found a name, a love interest, and a new network.

Nia Long has joined the cast of “The Divide,” a legal thriller that centers on Adam Page (Damon Gupton), a District attorney who uncovers new evidence that prompts the reinvestigation of a high-profile murder case involving white defendants and black victims.

Long will play Billie Page, the DA’s “hard-charging wife.”

The cast also includes Clarke PetersSeth Gilliam, and Aunjanue Ellis.

Long’s television credits include Showtime’s “House of Lies,” “Third Watch” and “Judging Amy.” Her film credits include Love Jones, Soul Food, and most recently, The Best Man Holiday.

“The Divide” will air on WEtv in 2014.
