The Castillo Theatre is casting the American premiere of Children of Killers. The play takes place 15 years after the genocide in Rwanda, as teenage children come to terms with their fathers’ legacies. Katori Hall (The Mountaintop), writer; Emily Mendelsohn, dir.; John Rankin III, prod. Rehearsals begin July 16; runs Sept. 221-Oct. 28, 2012 at the Castillo Theatre on W. 42nd St. in NYC.

Seeking–Vincent: male, 15–18, African, African-American, or Latino, the leader and protector; Innocent: male, 15-18, African, African-American, or Latino, the peacemaker; Bosco: male, 15-18, African, African-American, or Latino, charming, energetic; Emmanuel: male, 15-19, African, African-American, or Latino, slowly dying; Felicite: girl, 8-14 years old,  African, African-American, or Latino, curious, eager; Esperance: female, 17-22, African, African-American, or Latino strong; Mother: female, 30-45, Casting personnel state: “All are strong dramatic roles.”
